"Crest" is a tooth paste product that falls under the Procter and Gamble brand portfolio. The client was both the Agency for P&G and also P&G Guangzhou.
The Reason
P&G wanted a practical way to promote the "Crest" brand outside the normal marketing channels it had been using in China. They also wanted to talk to the consumer when they were most likely to be thinking of teeth and dental hygiene. Dental clinics seemed the most obvious choice of location - They were renowned for having long waiting times and if a fun and educational Kiosk could be displayed it would serve to occupy the dental patient whilst at the same time promoting the Crest brand.
The Benefits
The Egg Developed an Interactive touch screen kiosk covering subjects such as plaque control, bad breath, brushing techniques and flossing. All were explained in detail with animated diagrams to illustrate each subject. A quick quiz was also added to test the knowledge of the patient.
The Conclusion
The final application was placed on touch screen Kiosks in Dental Clinics all across the key cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Several updates were performed in the following years to keep the information current and the client continues to be satisfied with the positive feedback and high usage by customers.
